Stop Oil Leaks With Leadwire and Cable Seal
It's a problem that crops up whenever you install a sensor inside an oily machine: How do you bring the sensor wires out of the machine, but keep the oil in?
A new fitting from Minco (model FG1015) prevents oil leaks by making a reliable seal around individual leadwires, or feedthroughs potted onto leads, or sensor probes. The fitting's pressure rating is 50 psi. A typical application is sealing RTD or thermocouple leadwires where they exit the oil-filled housing of a thrust or journal bearing in a motor, generator, turbine, pump, or compressor. The pressure rating is 50 psi.
Options include:
- Steel or stainless steel body
- 1/2 or 3/4 NPT threads (any combination)
- 2 or 3 holes for cylindrical probes or feedthroughs
- Up to 6 holes for discrete wires, AWG 22 to AWG 30
