Extremely
small quartz strain sensor for indirect measurement of
forces in machinery, tools and assembly processes.
The sensor is installed with an
accurately defined preload. The strain in the material is transferred to the quartz measuring element through the fastening
thread M5 and the front of the sensor.
This yields an electrical charge proportional to the mechanical change in
strain, which is converted by a charge amplifier into a voltage. This value can then be further processed as necessary.
Applications include monitoring of forces and strains in machinery and tools. The compact quartz longiudinal measuring pin
M5 measures dynamic and quasistatic forces indirectly and is also suitable for measuring very large forces, even when
mounting space is very limited.
• Miniaturized strain sensor
• Measuring tensile and compression forces
• Measures indirect forces into the Meganewton range
• Can be installed in the material to almost any depth
