 Y Strainers are a cost effective method of protecting downstream fluid handling components from occasional stray solid particles. Y Strainers include a blow-down plug, which can be replaced with a ball valve so that periodic clean-out of hard particulate can be done quickly and easily without tools.
Y Strainers are available in a wide range of pipe sizes, materials and screen openings to suit the specific requirements of your applications. Y Strainers from HART have a generous screen area and properly proportioned straining chamber to minimize pressure drop and increase the intrval between clean-outs.
