|  This design combines the popular Lumiglas® USL 05-EX explosion-proof light with the proven MetaClamp™ sanitary mounting system. The result is a compact unit which safely illuminates pressurized tanks, pipelines, mixers and other closed sanitary vessels. These units mount directly onto virtually any vessel or pipeline to provide up to 20 watts of intense glare-free light through a Metaglas® safety glass lens.
Constructed of corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy, Lumiglas USL 05-EX lights are moisture-proof as well as explosion-proof for all explosion classes, making them equally well suited for use in new or existing sanitary installations, indoors or out. Lights are also available in all stainless construction.
Metaglas MetaClamp sanitary safety glass lenses are the strongest and most secure glass elements available. Rupture tests have demonstrated that Metaglas mechanically prestressed glass remains leak tight at pressures far exceeding design pressure due to the homogeneous compressive stress constant throughout the glass.
 These units have a proven bulb life of over 2500 hours and are available with an optional push button momentary on/off switch.
Provided with a sealed connection, these sturdy light ports are dust and water jet resistant, even during external washdowns, providing safe, explosion-proof illumination for sanitary applications. Sanitary clamp connections are available for sizes ranging from 1 inch to 12 inches.
